At the GSSA Fall Bootstrap Conference, GSSA announced the four finalist for Georgia’s 2024 Superintendent of the Year. The four finalists are :
Mary Elizabeth Davis of Henry County Schools, Marc Feuerbach of Cartersville City School District, Fred Williams of Dublin City School System, and Fred “Bubba” Longgrear of Candler County School District.
The sole finalist for the 2024 Georgia Superintendent of the Year will be announced at the GSBA/GSSA Annual Conference on November 30, 2023. The state finalist will go on to compete for the 2024 National Superintendent of the Year at the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) conference February 15-17, 2024 in San Diego, California.
